Elena Gavdzinsky was born on May 27, 1954 in Odessa, Ukraine. Her father, an award winning painter bearing the honorary title of The People’s Artist of Ukraine, noticed her talent early on and supported Elena in her choice of life path, becoming her first teacher. She further developed her professional skills in the fabled Odessa College of Art named after M. Grekov under the guidance of such acclaimed artists and teachers as  V.Krishtopenko, D. Egorov, and V. Sokolov. Elena’s artistic career encompasses years of successful work that brought her a prestigious title of an Honored Artist of Ukraine, and membership in the Union of Artists of Ukraine.  She exhibited her paintings in numerous exhibitions both nation-wide and in Europe. Elena Gavdzinsky’s works are in museums in Ukraine and in private collections in Ukraine, Europe, America, Canada and Japan.
