ABOUT ARTIST

Yaroslav was born in 1953 in Western Ukraine and graduated from Lviv National Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts, specializing in graphics. He brought his typically western Ukrainian style of precise detailing and immaculate execution to his permanent place of residence in Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula. There, he applied his skills and style to create works based on local history and lore that of the ancient Greek city of Khersones once located in the area. Ancient mythical images and vast horizons over his beloved Black Sea give his work a unique and timeless character. Yaroslav is a member of the Artists Union of Ukraine. He exhibited his works in USA, Canada, Italy, Germany, France and Great Britain, where he received well deserved critical acclaim and extensive media coverage. His works are in museums of Kyiv and Sevastopol and numerous private collections across the globe.
